For Immediate Release
Gloucester Twp, NJ, January 22, 2015 - New Jersey Rush Soccer Club announced today that Rage FC Premier has agreed to a merger with NJ Rush.
Rage FC Premier will bring six premier level girls teams and two premier level boys teams into the NJ Rush family. They will be based out of the New Jersey Rush facility located in Gloucester Twp, NJ. The merger will expand the opportunities for growth and development for the Rage FC Premier players and coaches.
Rage FC Premier has built a strong program in the 4 years since their inception that has included 5 State Championships. Their teams will now join an already strong group at NJ Rush that boast 6 currently reigning NJ State Champions.
“We are happy and proud to welcome the Rage FC Premier teams into the New Jersey Rush family,” said Sandeep Mehtani, Executive Director of NJ Rush. “We are impressed with the level of play among their teams and the high quality of coaches who have led in their development. With the addition of the Rage FC Premier teams, NJ Rush continues to be on the cutting edge of player and team development, not only in New Jersey but in the region and throughout the country.”
Combining forces with New Jersey Rush, the Rage FC Premier teams will now have more opportunities for advancement, as players will be a part of a Rush program that has a national presence and, in some cases, international opportunities.
“I am excited that our club has the opportunity to join the Rush family,” said Rage FC Premier President Dave Debreceni. “We have worked hard over the past 4 years to develop players skills with the goal of competing at the highest levels. Joining Rush is the next logical step to continue this. I believe the development goals and model of the Rush program will allow our players to continue to grow; providing pathways that we cannot provide today.”
Following the lead of Rush International, NJ Rush continues to spread “the Rush Way” philosophy of coaching and training throughout New Jersey. Their model of affiliating with grass-roots programs like those at Highland Youth Soccer Club and Hamilton Girls Soccer Club, gives NJ Rush something that no other academy level program in New Jersey can offer.
Most academy level programs in New Jersey acquire players at older ages who have already progressed beyond the formative years of player development. Through their affiliation model, New Jersey Rush is able to influence and develop players, as early as 4 years of age, using the most modern “best practice” teaching methods. New Jersey Rush is clearly on the cutting edge with their player development model and proving to be a strong leader in the New Jersey soccer community.
